The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), in partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), officially launched the NBI eClearance service on the eGovPH Super App on July 6 at the NBI Headquarters in Pasay City.
The launch, attended by First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos, marked a major step in the government’s digital transformation efforts, allowing eligible users to renew their NBI clearances through the app in as little as five minutes.
NBI Director Atty. Melvin A. Matibag said the integration reflects the agency’s commitment to delivering faster, more efficient, and citizen-centered public services through innovation. DICT Secretary Henry R. Aguda also expressed support for the initiative, while DICT Undersecretary David L. Almirol Jr. led the presentation and live demonstration of the new digital service.
The app enables verified eGovPH users to retrieve, renew, and access a digital copy of their NBI clearance through a secure and interoperable platform, reducing the need for in-person transactions.
The NBI and DICT said the initiative underscores their shared commitment to modernizing government services and making them more accessible, efficient, and secure under the Bagong Pilipinas program.
