The local government of Apalit conducted a Pre-Disaster Risk Assessment (PDRA) as part of its preparations for the possible impact of Super Typhoon ‘Bavi’ (local name ‘Inday’).

During the assessment, local officials discussed potential flooding, the implementation of pre-emptive evacuations, the readiness of equipment and evacuation centers, and strengthened coordination among barangays and government agencies.

The initiative aims to ensure that response measures are in place and that residents remain safe in anticipation of heavy rains and strong winds associated with the approaching weather disturbance.
