The Mabalacat City government has ordered the procurement and distribution of metal detector devices to all public and private schools in the city as part of efforts to strengthen campus security.

The initiative, directed by Mayor Atty. Geld Aquino, aims to prevent weapons, including bladed instruments, from being brought onto school premises through improved security screening.

City officials said the metal detectors will help provide a safer learning environment for students, teachers, and school personnel as part of the LGU’s continuing commitment to enhance safety in schools.
