Angeles Seniors join first community Tour Guiding Program in Central Luzon

Around 30 senior citizens from Angeles City participated in the first-ever Community Tour Guiding Program in Central Luzon, a joint initiative of the National Commission of Senior Citizens, the Department of Tourism, and the Angeles City Government through its City Tourism Office.

Held at the Angeles City Library, the program equipped participants with the knowledge and skills to serve as community tour guides, enabling them to share the city’s rich history, culture, traditions, and heritage sites with visitors.

The initiative also aims to keep senior citizens actively involved in the community while recognizing their role as custodians of Angeles City’s cultural heritage and tourism.

The Angeles City Government, under Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, said it remains committed to programs that promote the welfare and active participation of senior citizens while supporting the continued growth of local tourism.
