The Department of Transportation (DOTr) continues to fast-track the acquisition of right-of-way (ROW) and project sites for major rail developments, including the North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR) project, in line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

As part of the ongoing ROW acquisition efforts, DOTr representatives, led by Assistant Secretary for Right-of-Way and Site Acquisition (ROWSA) Irish IC Calaguas, met with Social Security System (SSS) Asset Management Division Vice President Atty. Neil F. Hernaez to discuss the acquisition of SSS properties affected by the NSCR project.

The accelerated ROW process aims to ensure the timely implementation of the country’s major railway infrastructure projects and support improved public transportation connectivity.
