The Department of Agriculture–Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP) Central Luzon reviewed its first-semester accomplishments and set priorities for the second half of 2026 during a management meeting on July 9.
The agency assessed the implementation of the PRDP Scale-Up under its four major components: I-PLAN, I-BUILD, I-REAP, and I-SUPPORT.
Among the key accomplishments was the launch of the Regional Agriculture and Fisheries Investment Portfolio (RAFIP), aimed at strengthening investments and partnerships for a more competitive and climate-resilient agriculture sector.
The I-BUILD component has secured approval for seven rural infrastructure projects worth about ₱1.5 billion, while the I-REAP component gained approval for three enterprise projects valued at ₱372 million to support farmer cooperatives in Nueva Ecija engaged in aromatic rice, carabao dairy, and onion production.
In total, DA-PRDP Central Luzon is implementing 10 subprojects worth nearly ₱1.9 billion, reinforcing efforts to modernize agriculture, improve rural infrastructure, expand market opportunities, and create sustainable livelihoods for farmers and fisherfolk across the region.
The agency said it remains committed to sustaining project implementation and strengthening collaboration with local government units and development partners to ensure lasting benefits for rural communities.
