The Mabalacat City Government distributed 200 high-performance laptops to public school teachers, reaffirming its support for the education sector through improved access to digital teaching tools.
Mayor Atty. Geld Aquino, together with Vice Mayor Jun Castro, led the turnover ceremony held at the Gabaldon Hall of Mabalacat Elementary School, where Lenovo Slim 3 laptops were formally turned over to teacher-beneficiaries.
Each unit is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 5 7520U processor, 8GB LPDDR5 RAM, 512GB NVMe SSD, and Radeon 610M graphics, providing teachers with reliable performance for lesson preparation, classroom activities, and other professional tasks.
Aquino said the initiative was launched in response to the needs raised by teachers, emphasizing that educators deserve quality equipment to help them deliver better learning experiences to Mabalacat’s students. He added that the city government will continue implementing programs that support teachers’ professional growth and welfare.
The mayor also announced that additional batches of laptops will be distributed to extend the program’s benefits to more public school teachers.
Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Maria Carmen Cuenco commended the city government for the swift procurement and distribution of the laptops, noting that the devices will help teachers become more efficient in preparing lessons and conducting classroom instruction, ultimately benefiting students.
Also present during the turnover ceremony were Councilors Marjorie Sambo, Pat Acorda, Ike Morales, Vicoy Ong, Benny Jocson, and City Administrator Oscar Deang Jr.
