President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the unveiling of the marker for the world’s largest integrated solar photovoltaic (PV) and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) during the inauguration of MTerra Solar Phase I at the Terra Solar Main Collector Substation in Barangay Puting Tubig on Tuesday, July 14.

The President was joined by First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, Department of Energy Secretary Sharon Garin, Meralco Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Manuel V. Pangilinan, and other government and industry officials.

The milestone marks a significant step in advancing the country’s renewable energy goals and strengthening a more sustainable and reliable power supply.
