A wreath-laying ceremony was held at the monument of former President Corazon “Cory” Aquino in Tarlac City on August 1, 2026, marking the 17th anniversary of her death and honoring her contributions to Philippine history and democracy.

City Councilor Anne Belmonte joined representatives of the Philippine National Police (PNP), MaYap Ladies Organization, Soroptimist, Ninoy and Cory Aquino Foundation, Inc., and the City Tourism, Culture, and Arts Office in paying tribute to the late president.
