Authentic Angeles Parol passed on

The Angeles City Tourism Office held the first learning session of the School of Living Traditions (SLT): Lubenas Ning Pasku – The Art of Making the Authentic Angeles Parol on August 15, 2026.

Supported by Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, the program introduced new learners and students to the traditional art, process, and cultural significance of making the authentic Angeles parol.

The SLT is a cultural learning program of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), brought to Angeles City through the Angeles City Tourism Office. It seeks to preserve and pass on tangible and intangible cultural heritage through hands-on learning from cultural masters.

The program highlights the Angeles parol as an important expression of Kapampangan heritage and Angeleño identity, ensuring that its craftsmanship and traditions continue to be passed on to future generations.
