Residents of Paniqui, Moncada and San Manuel in Tarlac received rice subsidies under the government’s “Bawat Bayan Makikinabang” (BBM) rice distribution program.
In Paniqui, the provincial government led by Governor Christian Tell Yap, in coordination with Mayor Kat Roxas, distributed 10-kilo rice packs to more than 1,000 qualified beneficiaries.
Vice Governor Estelita Aquino, together with Board Member Pearl Angeli Pacada and local officials, led the distributions in Paniqui and Moncada, where around 1,300 residents benefited.
Aquino said the program seeks to ease the financial burden of vulnerable households, noting that it was made possible through national government support.
Meanwhile, 631 non-pensioner residents in San Manuel received rice subsidies through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO). The distribution was led by Mayor Donya Tesoro and PSWDO head Ma. Elena Jalos.
Funded through the Local Government Support Fund, the initiatives are part of continuing efforts to bring assistance closer to vulnerable communities and help address households’ basic needs.
