Staff of Congressman Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr., led by Chief Political Affairs Officer Reina Manuel, prepared medicines for distribution to Rural Health Units (RHUs) across the First District of Pampanga.
Some of the medicines were personally donated by Cong. Pogi, while the Doxycycline was provided by the Department of Health (DOH).
Doxycycline is an antibiotic used in treating leptospirosis, a disease that can be contracted after exposure to floodwaters. As an antibiotic, it may only be obtained from RHUs by residents who present a prescription from a doctor.
The initiative aims to help address the healthcare needs of residents, particularly those in communities affected by flooding.
