Mabalacat City Mayor Geld Aquino directed the city’s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), led by Jeffrey Santos, to deploy additional rescue personnel to San Simon, Pampanga after the municipality requested reinforcements amid the increasing number of residents needing assistance.

In response, the Mabalacat CDRRMO immediately deployed swift water-trained rescuers, who arrived in San Simon at around 5 a.m. on Sunday, August 30.

The Mabalacat rescue team joined the San Simon MDRRMO, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) in ongoing rescue and evacuation operations.

Rescue teams continue to coordinate closely to reach affected residents and safely evacuate those in need.
