Government offices in several provinces will implement appropriate alternative work arrangements on September 1, 2026, while public and private schools at all levels will adopt alternative learning modes and learning continuity measures amid the expected continued heavy rainfall from the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).
The measure is pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 133 and covers the following areas:
- Ilocos Norte
- Ilocos Sur
- La Union
- Pangasinan
- Abra
- Benguet
- Kalinga
- Mountain Province
- Apayao
- Batanes
- Nueva Vizcaya
- Zambales
- Tarlac
- Pampanga
- Bataan
Government agencies providing basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other essential services will continue operations and ensure the delivery of necessary assistance.
Meanwhile, the suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector will remain at the discretion of management.
