New Leadership at DOLE 3

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region 3 welcomed Atty. Sarah Buena S. Mirasol as its new regional director during a ceremonial turnover held at the DOLE Regional Office in the City of San Fernando.

Former Regional Director Geraldine M. Panlilio formally turned over the symbolic key of responsibility to Mirasol, marking the official transition of leadership at the regional office.

Mirasol brings extensive experience in regional labor administration, having served DOLE for nine years. Before her appointment to Central Luzon, she served as regional director of DOLE National Capital Region since 2019. She previously held the position of assistant regional director in the same office and served as regional director of DOLE Region II.

Panlilio, meanwhile, leaves DOLE Region 3 after 36 years of service. She began her career as clerical and technical staff in the regional office before rising through the ranks and serving in key positions, including chief labor and employment officer, assistant regional director and officer-in-charge regional director.

She became the full-fledged regional director of DOLE Central Luzon in 2021 and now assumes a new assignment as regional director of DOLE Region V-Bicol.

The DOLE Central Luzon team expressed confidence in Mirasol’s leadership as the regional office continues efforts to advance the department’s labor agenda and strengthen responsive and impactful services for workers and stakeholders across the region.
