The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) has extended relief assistance to families in Olongapo City affected by recent heavy monsoon rains.
BCDA turned over 100 sacks of rice to the Olongapo City Government to provide immediate support to affected residents.
Leading the turnover were BCDA Director Roberto A. Flores, Officer-in-Charge Senior Vice President for Conversion and Development Mark P. Torres, and Vice President for Land and Assets Development Richard Brian M. Cepe.
Olongapo City Mayor Atty. Rolen C. Paulino Jr. and Disaster Risk Reduction Office representative Ernando Santos Malabute received the assistance on behalf of the city.
BCDA said the initiative reflects its commitment to supporting communities during times of crisis and strengthening partnerships with local governments toward recovery and rebuilding.
