Jinbo Way starts P573-M Subic expansion

Jinbo Way Technology Ltd. Corporation has started a P573-million expansion project at the Subic Bay Gateway Park, further strengthening its operations in the Subic Bay Freeport and expected to generate around 1,000 new jobs.

The company broke ground on Sept. 3, 2026, for the construction of four new smart manufacturing facilities, which are targeted for completion within three years.

Jinbo Way CEO Vicky Wei led the groundbreaking ceremony, with Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) Chairman and Administrator Eduardo Jose L. Aliño as guest of honor.

Aliño said the expansion reaffirms the Subic Bay Freeport’s position as a destination for investors committed to long-term growth. He noted that Jinbo Way started in 2019 with a 5,580-square-meter facility and has since grown into an operation employing thousands of Filipino workers.

The four new factories will manufacture sports and athletic goods, outdoor and waterproof bags, textile and garment products, hardware assemblies, and electronic devices, including car chargers, smartphone wall chargers, massage chairs, and foot massagers. The facilities will also support the importation, transshipment, trading, and export of products to international markets.

Wei highlighted the company’s rapid expansion, noting that Jinbo Way has grown from a rented facility into a large-scale operation employing about 3,400 workers.

Established in 2019, Jinbo Way has become a major manufacturer of high-end outdoor products, including cut-and-sew soft bags and welded goods. The company currently occupies a total subleased area of 28,234.19 square meters**, reflecting significant growth from its original facility.

The groundbreaking was attended by SBMA Directors Joseph Khonghun and Ruel John Kabigting, Senior Deputy Administrator Renato Lee III, Chief of Staff Von Rodriguez, Department Manager Karen Magno, and representatives from Jinbo Way and the Subic Bay Development and Management Corporation.
