The Pampanga provincial government distributed relief packs to around 3,500 residents of Barangays Concepcion and San Miguel in San Simon as part of its continuing assistance to families affected by flooding brought by the southwest monsoon, or habagat.
Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda led the relief distribution, joined by Apalit Mayor Jun Tetangco, personnel of the Pampanga Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), and barangay officials.
The assistance forms part of the provincial government’s ongoing coordination with local government units to ensure that affected families receive needed relief and support amid the continuing effects of the floods.
Provincial officials said the joint efforts underscore the commitment of the Kapitolyo and local governments to help affected communities recover, with the assurance that ‘no Kapampangan will be left behind.’
