Pampanga 1st District Representative Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. is supporting local Christmas craftsmanship by purchasing handmade holiday wreaths created by the young wards of the Angeles City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) Home for the Girls, or Bahay Pag-asa.
Cong. Pogi said the initiative supports the livelihood activities of the Bahay Pag-asa wards while helping promote locally made Christmas crafts.
“Kilala ang Pilipinas sa pagkakaroon ng ‘longest Christmas celebration’ sa mundo, at pinaghahandaan natin ito sa pamamagitan ng pagsuporta sa local Christmas crafts,” Lazatin said.
The handmade wreaths are priced at P350 each and may be purchased through the CSWDO’s official Facebook page.
Cong. Pogi had likewise supported the wards’ livelihood efforts during the previous holiday season by purchasing their handmade mini Christmas trees.
During his tenure as Angeles City mayor, Lazatin spearheaded the rehabilitation of Bahay Pag-asa, which also secured its accreditation during his administration.
Through his continued support, Cong. Pogi is helping provide the young residents with opportunities to develop skills, earn from their crafts, and showcase their creativity this holiday season.
