BOC Port of Clark employees sharpen leadership, communication skills

Employees of the Bureau of Customs (BOC)–Port of Clark strengthened their leadership and communication skills through an Executive Presence Workshop facilitated by the Philippine Tax Academy.

The professional development activity focused on how confidence, appropriate attire and effective communication contribute to how employees lead, influence others and represent the Bureau.

Participants were also encouraged to develop the mindset and professional bearing expected of the roles they aspire to take on, while improving their ability to communicate and engage effectively with the public.

The workshop highlighted the importance of these skills among frontline personnel, particularly Customer Care Center staff and Customs Officers assigned at airports, whose professionalism and communication directly shape the public’s experience with the BOC.

The Port of Clark also recognized the Learning and Development Management Office for initiating programs that promote employee growth and welfare, in support of the leadership of Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno and Clark District Collector Jairus S. Reyes.
