The Angeles City Local Government Unit (LGU) has intensified sanitation measures at the fire-affected Pampang Market through misting and residual spraying, under the directive of Mayor Carmelo “Jon” B. Lazatin II.
The city’s Sanitation and Disinfection Team conducted the activity to help control foul odors from decomposing meat, eggs, and other organic materials left in affected areas.
Residual spraying was also carried out to help control fly larvae and other insects that may proliferate around decomposing materials.
The sanitation measures form part of the city’s immediate response while assessment, clearing, and recovery efforts continue at the market.
The Angeles City LGU said concerned offices remain coordinated in addressing the fire’s impact and protecting the welfare of affected vendors, workers, and nearby communities.
