The Provincial Government of Pampanga is set to intensify threat simulation exercises (SIMEX) and emergency drills in all public and private schools to improve preparedness among students, teachers, and school personnel.

Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda emphasized the initiative during the 3rd Quarter Joint Meeting of the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC), Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC), and Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC) held on September 29 at the Kingsborough International Convention Center.

According to Pampanga Police Provincial Director PCOL Ricardo David, the Pampanga Provincial Police Office has already conducted threat drills in seven schools, covering preventive measures for incidents involving active shooters and bomb threats.

The provincial government expressed support for expanding the program by providing resources, experts, and funding to accelerate the conduct of drills in more schools.

During the meeting, council members also discussed ongoing operations against illegal drugs, firearms, wanted persons, counterfeit products, and smuggling, while approving the province’s proposed 2027 peace and order budget and confidential fund.
