A total of 3,002 farmers and fisherfolk affected by disasters in Pampanga received ₱5,400 each through the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Emergency Cash Transfer (ECT) program on September 30.

The assistance was distributed to beneficiaries from Minalin, Arayat, and Masantol through activities held at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center, Provincial Motorpool, and Pampanga State University-Apalit Campus.

The distribution was led by Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, with local officials and the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office joining the activity.

Masantol fisherfolk member Shiela Mae Sunga of Bebe Anac expressed gratitude for the assistance, particularly to families affected by recent flooding.

Also present were 4th District Board Member Dr. Kaye Naguit, Apalit Mayor Jun Tetangco and Vice Mayor Peter Nucom, Masantol Vice Mayor Liezel Guintu, and PSWD Officer Fe Manarang.
