The Unilab Foundation posthumously honored Gov. Dakila Carlo “Dax” Cua, president of the Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines (ULAP), and Rep. Ciriaco “Jun” Gato Jr. for their leadership and contributions to strengthening local health systems.

The plaques of recognition were presented by Unilab Foundation Executive Director Jose Maria A. Ochave and Sustainable Health Care Director Ruben “John” A. Basa during the 1st Unilab Foundation Executive Symposium at the Bayanihan Center in Pasig City.

Batanes Gov. Ronald Aguto Jr. accepted Gato’s plaque, while Atty. Ren Untalan received Cua’s plaque on behalf of ULAP.

The recognition highlighted the two leaders’ contributions to advancing stronger and more responsive health systems at the local level.
