A total of 630 tricycle drivers in Masantol received ₱3,000 in financial assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) during a payout held October 1 at Barangay San Agustin (Caingin).

The assistance was facilitated through the initiative of Congresswoman Dra. Anna York Bondoc, in partnership with the Masantol municipal government led by Mayor Dan Guintu, Vice Mayor Liezle Guintu, and the Sangguniang Bayan.

The payout forms part of efforts to support members of the transportation sector who were among those affected by recent calamities.

Officials said the assistance is intended to help tricycle drivers recover from losses, meet immediate needs, and gradually get back on their feet.

A second payout for the next batch of beneficiaries will follow, extending assistance to more affected drivers in the municipality.
