Mabalacat City earned another distinction after being named Most Outstanding Performer – City Category in the 2026 Central Luzon SubayBAYANI Awards of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

The award was personally received by Mabalacat City Mayor Atty. Geld Aquino during the awarding ceremony, where the city’s recognition drew applause from attendees.

DILG cited Mabalacat City’s performance in local governance and infrastructure governance, highlighting initiatives aimed at promoting more efficient and effective public administration.

The agency also recognized the city’s efforts in advancing innovation, integrity and community-centered service.

Aquino said the recognition serves as an inspiration for the city government to sustain its initiatives toward better governance and improved delivery of services to Mabalaqueñians.

Joining the mayor in receiving the award were DILG Mabalacat City representative Dianne Lorin Tolentino, City Engineer Rod De Leon, and City Planning and Development Office (CPDO) Head Rosan Paqui.

The latest recognition adds to Mabalacat City’s growing list of distinctions for its local governance efforts in Central Luzon.
