Globe extended its GDay relief efforts to 200 typhoon-affected families in Guagua, providing essential supplies, connectivity support, and livelihood opportunities as communities continue to recover from severe flooding.
Globe employee-volunteers distributed relief packs and SIM cards to help residents meet immediate needs and stay connected with loved ones.
Selected beneficiaries also received reseller starter kits to help generate additional income, while Globe Fiber Prepaid kits were raffled off to participating families.
“Even after the floodwaters go down, families still have a long way to go as they rebuild their homes and livelihoods. Through GDay, our employees were able to be there for communities in Guagua and provide help that they can use as they recover,” said Globe North Luzon General Manager Mel Baquiano.
The Pampanga initiative followed similar GDay outreach activities in Tarlac and Nueva Ecija.
In partnership with Kaya Natin Youth–Tarlac City, Globe assisted more than 100 families in Barangay Sawat, Camiling, and distributed school supplies to students of Sawat Elementary School.
Children at Bahay ni San Jose Orphanage in Nueva Ecija also received food and school supplies.
Barangay Sto. Cristo Captain Rowena D. Dimalanta expressed appreciation for Globe’s assistance, emphasizing the importance of sustained support for families rebuilding their homes and livelihoods.
“Recovery takes time, especially for families whose homes and livelihoods have been affected by flooding. We appreciate Globe and its employee-volunteers for reaching our communities and providing assistance that can help our residents as they recover from the typhoon,” Dimalanta said.
Through its Globe of Good advocacy, the telecommunications company continues to mobilize employee-volunteers and community partners to deliver meaningful assistance beyond immediate disaster relief.
The GDay initiatives underscore Globe’s commitment to helping disaster-stricken communities recover, reconnect, and rebuild their lives.
