A total of 500 solo parents received food packs from the Mabalacat City government on Wednesday as part of its continuing efforts to support families in need.

Mayor Geld Aquino led the distribution, joined by Vice Mayor June Castro, Councilors Eroll Soliven and Marjorie Sambo, and City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) head Josephine Tanglao.

Aquino emphasized the importance of making solo parents feel that the local government stands with them as they navigate the challenges of raising and providing for their children.

The food assistance aims to help beneficiaries meet their families’ daily needs and ease some of their household expenses.

Last week, another 500 solo parents received ₱3,000 each in financial assistance during the city’s third-quarter payout, further demonstrating the local government’s continued support for solo-parent households.
