Angeles Police Outpost opens at Systems Plus

Systems Plus College Foundation (SPCF), in partnership with Savers Group Holdings Inc., formally turned over a new police outpost to the Angeles City Police Office (ACPO) on Thursday, October 15, to strengthen security along Abacan River Diversion Road in Barangay Balibago.

The facility, converted from a 20-foot container van, is equipped with bunk beds, a shower, toilet and air-conditioning unit. A separate container serves as an office with Wi-Fi connectivity.

SPCF Executive Vice President Prof. Lean Happie Bustamante said the outpost aims to enhance public safety and police visibility, emphasizing that it will not serve as a detention facility.

ACPO Director Col. Robert Casimiro Domingo thanked SPCF and its donor-partners, stressing that police personnel will secure not only the school but also surrounding communities.

Angeles City Information Officer Jay Pelayo, representing Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, said the project was completed at no cost to the city government.

Barangay Balibago Chairman Joseph Ponce welcomed the initiative, noting that the diversion road had previously been used as an escape route by criminals.

Also present were Vice Mayor Amos Rivera, Savers Group Holdings President and COO Jansen Ivan Uy, Police Station 4 Commander Major Eblahan, and other local officials.

Located near the SPCF Criminology Building, the outpost is expected to boost police visibility and deter criminal activity in the area.
