A total of 163 Poraqueño students who graduated with Latin honors were recognized by the Porac local government unit (LGU) under its Youth Excellence Program, receiving cash incentives and recognition for their academic achievements.
The awardees graduated Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, and Summa Cum Laude, reflecting their hard work, dedication, and commitment to academic excellence.
In her message, Vice Mayor Jennifer “Jen” Capil emphasized the importance of fostering a culture of excellence in Porac, not only in education but also in public service.
She stressed that the local government’s goal goes beyond increasing the number of students graduating with Latin honors. It also seeks to ensure that every young Poraqueño, regardless of socioeconomic background, has access to opportunities to pursue their dreams and achieve success.
Also present during the awarding were Councilor Francis Tamayo, chair of the Committee on Education, and Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) Officer Sarah Salvador.
