Balibago Waterworks plants 1,000 seedlings in Angeles Watershed

In a continuing effort to protect vital water resources, Balibago Waterworks Systems, Inc. (BWSI) planted 1,000 seedlings at Sitio Bliss, Barangay Sapangbato, Angeles City, on October 16, 2026, in celebration of National Indigenous Peoples Month.

The initiative, conducted with ARAW-Aci and the Kapatirang Aytas ng Angeles-Porac para sa Kalikasan at Agrikultura (KAAPKA), marked BWSI’s fifth tree-planting activity at its 10-hectare adopted site in the Sapangbato Watershed.

The activity forms part of Project 10,000, BWSI’s flagship corporate social responsibility program targeting the planting of 10,000 trees to help safeguard Clark’s water resources.

“Environmental stewardship is a shared responsibility. We want a future that sustains life where no one is left behind,” said BWSI President Criselle Alejandro, emphasizing that environmental protection also means safeguarding the lives, culture, and rights of Indigenous peoples.

The activity was also attended by ARAW-ACI President Rene “Abe” Tayag, Vice President Sonny Dobles Jr., KAAPKA President Henry Pan, Soliman E.C., the Nagkakaisang Guardians, and the Angeles City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO).
