Angeles City trains Malabanias residents in Hydroponics

The Angeles City government has launched livelihood training in hydroponics and vegetable gardening for residents affected by the North-South Commuter Railway Extension (NSCR-Ex) Project.

Held on October 27, 2026, in Barangay Malabanias, the first batch trained 25 participants in basic vegetable gardening, organic fertilizer formulation, and hydroponics technology under the Livelihood Restoration and Improvement Program (LRIP).

The initiative, led by the city government under Mayor Carmelo “Jon” B. Lazatin II, in partnership with the City Agriculture Office, Department of Transportation (DOTr), and Philippine National Railways (PNR), aims to provide affected residents with practical skills and alternative income opportunities.

Participants also received 25 hydroponics starter kits to help them begin their own gardening activities.

The program targets 50 beneficiaries across two batches, with the second training session for another 25 participants scheduled for November 17 in Barangay Malabanias.
