Philippine National Police spokesperson Col. Allen Rae Co said on Thursday, October 29, that the PNP does not yet see the need for wanted posters of Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa.

Co said the senator is recognizable. He said the PNP would issue a poster if further evaluation shows it would help locate or arrest him.

The PNP made this statement despite an outstanding arrest warrant against Dela Rosa and a P50-million reward for information on his whereabouts.

Co added that the reward is meant to encourage tips and does not authorize private individuals or armed groups to apprehend the senator.

The one-week deadline for Dela Rosa to surrender expired on Friday, with no sign from his camp that he would turn himself in.

The warrant was issued by the International Criminal Court in connection with drug war killings during the Duterte administration. His legal team is challenging the implementation of the warrant before the Supreme Court.
