Filipino surfing pride Marama Tokong made waves on the international stage as he wrapped up his campaign in the World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour Philippines Pro following his Round 2 heat against Australia’s Ethan Ewing at Cloud 9 in Siargao.

Coming off a historic heat victory the previous day, Tokong delivered another memorable performance before the home crowd, showcasing the talent and fighting spirit of Filipino surfers.

Although he did not advance to the next round, Tokong considered his participation in the landmark international competition a victory in itself.

His performance has put the spotlight on Philippine surfing, proving that Filipino athletes have what it takes to compete on the world stage.
