The Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 3 (DA RFO 3), Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) conducted a market inspection on June 10 at Pampang Public Market and nearby rice retailers in Angeles City, Pampanga.

The inspection formed part of a nationwide effort to enforce Executive Order No. 118, Series of 2026, which sets a price cap of ₱50 per kilogram for imported premium rice with 5% broken grains.

During the market visit, government personnel also distributed information materials and reminded rice retailers to properly display prices and provide accurate product information in accordance with DA and DTI regulations.
The initiative aims to ensure compliance with the rice price cap and protect consumers from overpricing.
