Mabalacat City Mayor Atty. Geld Aquino and Vice Mayor Jun Castro personally distributed rice and canned goods to families affected by the southwest monsoon or Habagat in Sitio Dungan, Barangay Tabun, as well as residents of Barangay San Joaquin.

The relief goods were sourced from the personal funds of Aquino and Castro for residents affected by the continuing rains and flooding.

Mayor Geld said they would continue monitoring the condition of residents affected by the Habagat, assuring Mabalaqueñians that they have a government they can rely on during times of severe need.

Residents expressed their gratitude to the Mayor and Vice Mayor, saying the rice and canned goods provided much-needed assistance for their daily needs as the Habagat disrupted their livelihoods and normal way of life.
