Aid reaches Aeta communities

A total of 1,869 residents from Aeta communities in Mabalacat City received assistance on Wednesday, August 19, amid continued rains and inclement weather.

The relief effort was carried out by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in partnership with the Pampanga Provincial Government under Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda.

Beneficiaries came from the following communities:

  • Marcos Village
  • Sitio Haduan
  • Calapi
  • Sitio Bilad
  • Calumpang
    *Macapagal Village
  • Dapdap

DSWD food packs and rice from President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s Rice Program were distributed through the initiative led by 1st District Board Members Cherry Manalo and Christian Halili, together with Mabalacat City Mayor Gerald Aquino, Vice Mayor Jun Castro and PSWDO Officer Fe Manarang.

The provincial government also conducted a feeding program and distributed slippers as additional assistance to beneficiaries.

The initiative highlighted the continued delivery of relief and support to vulnerable communities despite the ongoing inclement weather.
