The DSWD Field Office 3 Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) joined SM City Pampanga’s Operation Tulong Express to provide assistance to families affected by prolonged flooding in Sta. Ana, Pampanga.
The initiative aimed to bring assistance closer to communities that have been dealing with the effects of flooding for several weeks.
In coordination with the Sta. Ana Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) and with support from DSWD SLP, SM Pampanga identified families most in need of assistance. A total of 250 individuals received food packs during the distribution to help augment their daily needs.
The Sta. Ana Municipal Action Team (MAT) also assisted in the distribution and continued to support families affected by the disaster.
Sta. Ana Mayor Ferdinand “Dinan” Labung expressed appreciation to the groups and individuals who extended assistance, saying the support provided much-needed help to residents affected by the flooding.
The joint effort underscored the importance of collaboration among the private sector, government agencies, and local communities in bringing timely assistance to families facing the challenges brought by disasters.
