Hundreds of Kapampangans received free medical assistance during the return of the Alagang Nanay Preventive Health Care Program medical mission on Friday morning, May 30, at the Lubao Gym.

Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, together with her daughter, Lubao Mayor Esmie Pineda, personally visited the patients from various barangays of Lubao to check on their conditions and extend support.

Residents brought with them the results of their free laboratory examinations, and each underwent further laboratory assessments conducted by the Provincial Health Office, along with volunteer doctors and nurses. Free prescription medicines were also distributed.

The mission included the distribution of free reading glasses and insulin for diabetic patients courtesy of JBLMGH. A PhilHealth desk was also present to assist in consultations under the Konsulta Caravan program.

The medical mission served a total of 1,021 patients — 224 from Brgy. Prado Siongco, 211 from Brgy. Baruya, 286 from Brgy. San Roque Arbol, and 300 from Brgy. Sto. Niño.
Each patient also received take-home food packs and transportation allowances.
The program aims to prevent serious illnesses such as cancer, heart disease, and kidney problems through early detection, regular check-ups, and free treatment — all at no cost, courtesy of the Provincial Government of Pampanga.
