Three students from Angeles City Science High School once again showcased the brilliance of the Kabataang Angeleño on the global stage after earning top honors at the prestigious Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) 2026 held in Phoenix, Arizona, USA.
Students Asher John S. Garcia, Pierre Phoella G. Ilagan, and Nathan Andrew P. Canilao brought pride to Angeles City and the Philippines after winning the Excellent in Energy and Environmental Stewardship Award and the 2nd Grand Award in the Energy: Sustainable and Materials Design Category.
Their achievement highlighted the talent, dedication, and innovative spirit of young Filipino researchers, proving that Angeleño students can compete and excel in the international fields of science, research, and innovation.
Angeles City Mayor Carmelo ‘Jon’ Lazatin II expressed pride over the students’ accomplishment, describing their success as not only a victory for their school but also an inspiration for the entire city.
The Angeles City government likewise reaffirmed its commitment to supporting programs that provide opportunities for young people to further develop their skills, talents, and aspirations.
Recognition was also extended to the students’ teachers, coaches, parents, and supporters whose guidance and encouragement played a vital role in the team’s success.
The victory further strengthened Angeles City’s growing reputation as a home to globally competitive and world-class young achievers.
