The Sangguniang Panlungsod of Angeles City has commended Angeleño performer Raymond Manalo for his outstanding achievements at the 2026 World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) held in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, from July 13 to 21.

Representing the Philippines and Angeles City, Manalo earned a Gold Medal in Vocal World, Silver Medal in Vocal Rock, and Bronze Medal in Vocal RnB/Jazz, as well as the Division Champion title in the Vocal World Category.

The City Council unanimously approved the resolution of commendation during its Regular Session No. 29 on July 28, recognizing Manalo’s exceptional talent, dedication, and vocal artistry that brought pride and international recognition to Angeles City and the Philippines. The Commendation was presented to the WCOPA champ today, August 4.

The councilors said his achievements exemplify artistic excellence and perseverance and serve as an inspiration to aspiring musicians, performers, and the youth of Angeles City.
