Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II joined the Department of Education (DepEd) and city leaders in the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for a nationwide classroom building program on August 4.

The initiative seeks to address classroom shortages and improve learning spaces through stronger collaboration between national and local governments.

Lazatin said investing in education means investing in the future of young Angeleños, as the Angeles City government continues to work with the DepEd to strengthen support for students and their learning needs.

Also present at the signing were Mabalacat City Mayor Atty. Geld Aquino, DepEd Undersecretary Peter Irving Corvera, and Assistant Secretary Aurelio Paulo Bartolome.
