Angeles City offices ensure safe, successful TTKD 2026

Beyond the music, dancing, and festivities, the successful staging of the 34th Tigtigan Terakan Keng Dalan (TTKD) 2026 was backed by the coordinated efforts of various Angeles City Government offices that ensured a safe, orderly, and enjoyable celebration for thousands of Angeleños and visitors.

Under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, city offices worked together before, during, and after the two-day celebration, handling everything from venue preparations and traffic management to emergency response, tourism services, security, and post-event cleanup.

The Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (ACDRRMO) and City Health Office deployed personnel for emergency response and medical assistance throughout the festivities.

They were supported by the Angeles City Police Office, Bureau of Fire Protection–Angeles, and barangay officials in maintaining peace, safety, and order.

Meanwhile, the Angeles City Traffic Development Office (ACTDO) managed traffic flow and road access to accommodate the influx of festivalgoers.

The Angeles City Tourism Office, Angeles City Tourist Information and Visitors Engagement (ACTIVE), and City Information Office (CIO) also took part through information booths, photo walls, visitor engagement activities, and event coverage, promoting the city’s tourism campaign, “Experience. Live. Love. Angeles City.”

As the festivities ended, personnel from the City Environment and Maintenance Services (EMS) Office and the Maintenance and Electrical Team of the City Engineer’s Office immediately began dismantling event structures and conducting cleanup operations to restore cleanliness and order along the streets.

Mayor Lazatin emphasized that the success of a major celebration goes beyond entertainment, stressing the importance of public safety, efficient traffic management, accessible medical services, and maintaining cleanliness before and after the event.

The city government also expressed appreciation to participating offices, partner agencies, volunteers, organizers, business establishments, and responsible festivalgoers for contributing to the celebration’s success.

Now in its 34th year, TTKD remains a celebration of Angeles City’s music, culture, unity, and resilience, reflecting the vibrant spirit of the Angeleño community.
