The Angeles City Government has stepped up road patching and repair works on major roads affected by recent rains, in coordination with the City Engineer’s Office.
Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II said the ongoing works aim to address potholes and damaged portions of roads that may pose risks to motorists and pedestrians.
Mayor Jon acknowledged that road patching is only a temporary measure, stressing that proper and long-term road rehabilitation remains necessary. However, he said immediate repairs are important while larger rehabilitation projects are being planned and implemented.
The mayor assured residents that the local government will continue monitoring major roads and other areas requiring repairs.
He also expressed gratitude to the City Engineer’s Office and the workers carrying out the road repair activities, as well as to Angeleños for their patience and understanding.
“Hindi man perpekto ang pansamantalang solusyon, ang mahalaga, kumikilos ang lokal na pamahalaan,” Mayor Jon said, emphasizing the city’s commitment to address road concerns one area at a time.
