The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), together with its subsidiaries—the John Hay Management Corporation (JHMC) and Poro Point Management Corporation (PPMC)—has signed three separate memoranda of understanding with Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-Water), in partnership with the Provincial Government of Pampanga, to implement world-class water management systems in the Philippines.

The agreements, signed this week, aim to introduce South Korea’s advanced expertise in water resource development, smart water technology, and sustainable infrastructure to key areas in the country, including Camp John Hay in Baguio City, Poro Point in La Union, and Pampanga.

Under the collaboration, K-Water will provide technical knowledge and share best practices in the development of efficient, resilient, and sustainable water systems—aligned with global standards.

The partnership is the result of months of coordination between K-Water and Philippine government agencies, reflecting a shared commitment to enhancing water management practices amid growing concerns over climate change and resource sustainability.

Officials from BCDA and K-Water emphasized that the project will not only improve access to clean water in the covered areas but also support long-term development goals and environmental protection efforts.
