The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) has completed and turned over new restroom facilities to Calangitan Elementary School in Tarlac, providing students and teachers with improved sanitation and a safer, more comfortable learning environment.
The project forms part of BCDA’s commitment to supporting host communities through initiatives that promote health, hygiene, and quality education alongside regional development.
BCDA Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Atty. Gisela Z. Kalalo emphasized the importance of providing students with clean and safe school facilities.
“Para sa isang mag-aaral, mahalaga ang magkaroon ng malinis, maayos, at ligtas na palikuran. Tulad din ng ating mga guro, panatag ang aming loob dahil sa mga pasilidad na ito ay bahagi na ng mas maayos na learning space para sa ating kabataan,” Kalalo said.
School Principal Dr. Eva U. Mendoza and Barangay Cutcut II Captain Edwin A. Macale formally accepted the facilities on behalf of the school and the community, expressing appreciation for BCDA’s support.
Beyond infrastructure development, BCDA continues to invest in community-centered projects that directly benefit residents, ensuring that economic growth translates into better living conditions and opportunities for its host communities.
