A new skyline story is beginning to take shape as Best Western Plus Hotel Subic prepares to expand not just upward, but also forward. Right beside its current structure, a new building will soon rise, signaling a ₱1-billion investment that reflects both confidence in Subic’s growth and a response to the increasing demand for more rooms, spaces, and experiences.

The vision was formally set in motion during a contract signing between the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority and developer Simon & Stanley International Trading and Development Co. Inc., led by SBMA Chairman and Administrator Eduardo Jose L. Aliño and Savers Group Holdings Inc. (SGHI) Chairman and CEO Jaime ‘Jack’ Uy, respectively.
Savers Group Holdings Inc. is the owner and operator of Best Western Plus Hotel Subic and Best Western Plus Metro Clark in Angeles City, and is the exclusive developer for Best Western Hotels in the Philippines.
More than an expansion, the project is envisioned as a seamless extension of the hotel’s identity—adding 120 new rooms, commercial spaces, restaurants, landscaped parks, and a three-level parking facility. It is both a continuation and a reinvention.
“For the growing need of spaces, function halls, and rooms, we decided to expand,” shared SGHI Vice President for Facility and Construction Architect Jason Uy, noting that the design phase is underway, with construction eyed to begin as early as the first quarter of next year.
Beyond infrastructure, the project also opens doors for the community, with plans to source manpower locally—bringing new opportunities alongside development.
SBMA officials welcomed the expansion as a timely addition to Subic’s evolving tourism and business landscape, where the demand for quality accommodations continues to rise.
Since its debut as the first internationally branded hotel in the Freeport, Best Western Plus Hotel Subic has stood as a gateway for travelers—strategically located along Dewey Avenue, just minutes from key destinations like Harbor Point and SM City Olongapo.
Now, as cranes prepare to follow signatures, the hotel enters a new chapter—one that builds not just rooms, but momentum for Subic’s future.
