James Carlos ‘Bimby’ Aquino Yap officially registered as a voter in Barangay Central, Hacienda Luisita, Tarlac City on May 18, the final day of voter registration set by the Commission on Elections.

Bimby, son of television personality Kris Aquino and former PBA player James Yap, was accompanied by Mayor Susan Yap and local officials during the registration at the Tarlac City Convention Hall.

This marks the first time Bimby will be eligible to vote in national and local elections. Unconfirmed reports suggest he may run for a Sangguniang Kabataan post in Barangay Central in the November elections.

Bimby belongs to the prominent Aquino family. He is the grandson of former President Corazon Aquino and former Senator Benigno Aquino Jr., and the nephew of former President Benigno Aquino III.
