Capitol brings healthcare, rice aid to Macabebe coastal villages

The Provincial Government of Pampanga continued its outreach efforts in the coastal barangays of Macabebe by providing free medical services, healthcare assistance, and rice aid to hundreds of residents under the leadership of Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda.

Around 700 residents of Barangay San Esteban benefited from a medical mission on July 3, receiving free medical consultations, medicines, half sacks of rice, hygiene kits, and other healthcare services.

About 15 patients also underwent minor surgical procedures aboard the Capitol’s Floating Clinic for the removal of lumps or cysts and were provided with post-operative medicines.

Governor Pineda said the Floating Clinic is part of the Alagang Nanay Preventive Healthcare Program, which brings essential health services closer to underserved and geographically isolated communities.

“Ing Floating Clinic a ini, manatili ya pa kekayu. Ini pu atin ya pung ECG, atin ya rin pung chest X-ray, minor operation at dentista. Denan dakayu rin pung maintenance medicines na pang atlung bulan,” the governor said, adding that residents may coordinate with their barangay captains for other assistance from the Provincial Capitol.

The provincial government also turned over two boats to Barangays Consuelo and San Esteban to improve transportation in communities where travel is primarily by water.

Meanwhile, 1,353 beneficiaries from Barangay Dalayap each received half a sack of rice under the Rice Program of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

“Maragul ya pung saup kaku ini king pamilya ku, lalau na pu ala yang obra ing asawa ku. Pabulan, atin na kami pung bigas,” said beneficiary Lagrima Selario, expressing gratitude for the assistance.

The activity was attended by Board Member Dr. Kaye Naguit, Executive Assistant IV Angelina Blanco, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office Head Fe Manarang, and Macabebe Vice Mayor Vince Flores.
