Clark Development Corporation (CDC) was recently recognized by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region 3 for its relief efforts to the victims of typhoon Odette.

DSWD conferred the awards to CDC during the DSWD Field Office 3’s 71st Anniversary held at Otel Pampanga in the City of San Fernando. The plaque of recognition was received by CDC Assistant Vice President for External Affairs Rommel C. Narciso on behalf of CDC President and CEO Manuel R. Gaerlan.

DSWD cited CDC for its steadfast support in the delivery of “Maagap at Mapagkailang Serbisyo” by providing donations during DSWD’s disaster response operations.

The state-owned firm is one of the 11 awardees which received the “SALAMAT Po Award” presented by DSWD Undersecretary for Social Welfare Danilo G. Pamonag and DSWD Regional Director Marites M. Maristela.

Earlier this year, CDC provided construction materials and tools worth P350,000 in helping the affected families of typhoon Odette to rehabilitate their homes.

Through this initiative, CDC was able to encourage various Clark locators to give cash donations, relief goods and assorted grocery items, including essentials like bedsheets, towels, sleeping clothes, and diapers.

The said donations were given to the affected communities in support of CDC’s “Unity amidst Calamity” Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project aimed to uplift the lives of those who are in need.
